New Form One Scholarship
In the first quarter of this year, we selected 13 new bright and needy form one students from Akiba School and the community for form one scholarship. In this season where the cost of living has suddenly increased in Kenya and with removal of government subsidies on fees for secondary schools, some families did not manage to further their children’s secondary education. We are glad for those we have managed to take to secondary school this year and hope to support more out there.

New Beginnings
Every Year, we are blessed to Disciple and Mentor young form four leavers through our annual New Beginnings Program. Recently, we enrolled 15 male and female New Beginnings interns who have begun classes and are doing great.
LEAD Program
Two of our High School Scholarship beneficiaries (Rajab and Steve) took part in a 2 months youth training program at One Life Africa in their training Centre at Kabarak. The young men were trained on life skills and computer skills that they said will help them when in college and in other areas of life.
Good News! From Akiba School Grade 8 and Graduates
Our Grade 8 scholarship students did us well in the KCPE 2022 National Examination. Most of them performed well by getting 300 marks and above, with Brigit Kavogoi on the lead with 395 marks in the school. All the 7 graduate students qualified for the Kenya Connection High school scholarship opportunity and are now in their various government placed secondary schools.
